Bird would probably not like me telling yall but I thought I would give you an update on a situation some of you might already know about. He has been having a very bad pain in the back of his neck and it has increasingly gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. Last Friday, after having a full day of pain, I asked the nurse I work with what it could be. Her first suggestion was for him to take his blood pressure. So throughout the weekend, we did and it was extremely high. Monday we saw a Neuro surgeon who ordered a MRI and MRA (for aneurysms) due to the fact his bp was 186/115.
To make a long story a little shorter, the technician was so alarmed at his MRI/MRA results yesterday she felt inclined to tell Brian that he should see a doctor right away. He went directly over to our family doctor. According the head of radiology at Centennial, Brian either has a complete occlusion (blockage) or a non exsistant (he could have been born like this) right vertebral artery (Normally there are two leading to the brain). Because his bp has been so high, his heart and one good artery has been working overtime. This has also caused his heart to become enlarged.
So he is on medication for bp and will see the surgeon next Tuesday for a complete overview of the results. We will also visit a vascular surgeon in the near future. Because this can mean so many different things, we are trying not to worry till then. He is under strict orders to rest (RIGHT!), no exercise and limited alcohol. I apologize if I have not been in touch recently like I usually am. I have had a lot on my mind.
I am sorry for the long email but thought you might like to know. Say a prayer for my little Bird.
Love, Jenny

Lots and Lots of prayers coming from us!! XOXO
Well, its official....I am worried. It makes me sick to think of the kind of stress that he must be under to have triggered all of this. Please take care of him and tell him NO EXERCISE! Take it easy and relax (like you said, yeah right). We are thinking about you both and waiting for more news. I love you both so very much!
Hey Jenny. It's Rene! Long time no talk. I just read your blog after noticing it on Amber's. I am in the cardiovascular/vascular field and know and work with several Cardiologists and Vascular Surgeons in the area. Let me know if you need any reccomendations. I will keep Brian in my prayers.
Hope you are well, you look great!!
