I am excited to announce that Soli does not have cancer! We will get the staples out on Thursday!
Brian had a good birthday weekend! Susan, Steven, Jon, Bo, Robyn (and baby), Bryan, Jarrod and Emily joined us. It was interesting to know that the Oklahoma side of Texoma is sand beaches and the Texas side is all rocks. I am not sure why anyone would want to pay more to have rocks! We played games, got out in the sun, cooked out and of course made many hilarious memories. We got back mid day yesterday. Brian and I both slipped in to our pj’s and watched a few movies. I had a great talk with my Grandma and also got to hear about Gracie from mom and dad.
Mondays always are a bummer but the schedule is light at work today. Yipee! I don’t know why but lately I am so homesick for my parents. I wish Brian and I were there in Colorado to be closer to them. My sister called me this morning on her way up to Estes. How nice! As high maintenance as everyone thinks I am, I could really get into the slower pace lifestyle up there. But in the meantime I will be looking forward to September or November when things will cool down here and when my parents will come to visit.

Welcome Gracie!!
Welcome Grace to the Huth family! The breeder that is also become my parents friend is flying her to Colorado today. She will also spend the weekend before returning to Texas. As you might can see from the picture, Grace was born with only 3 legs. From what I have heard, it is not slowing her down a bit! I know Kasey needs a companion and I can’t wait to see them both in action. They will be hunting ground squirrels together before you know it. Congratulations Mom and Dad!

2 out of the 3 Men in My Life are Hurt!!!
What bad news weekend we have had. Also my mom called Sat. night to tell me about my daddy and the accident he had. My mom was in Vail with a friend for the week but my hard headed dad decided he could hang blinds in the garage by himself….even though my mom said to please wait! He fell off the ladder on to the lawn mower. He has both cracked and broken ribs, fluid around his lungs and possible bruised kidneys not to mention the many bumps and scrapes he has. He has been in the hospital since Sat. The thing that makes me so mad is that this happed at 11am. He waited till I think 4pm before telling my mom. He had also spoken with my sister twice after falling. No one needed to be reminded that had he “taken a nap” or worse knocked himself out in the fall, that he could be dead! I told him I would wait till he was off the morphine to really yell at him. I am sick with worry about him. So Please a pray for my Daddy.
We took Soli in for routine blood work last week and Dr. Doolittle called us last Weds. to say that it did not come back good. So we took him over to Dr. Bronstad the specialist. To make a long story short, they found a tennis ball sized tumor in his spleen. Thursday night he had his spleen and the tumor removed. We got him back Friday morning. The poor baby has staples the length of his underside. His is on very strict rest for 3 weeks. The scary part right now is that we are waiting for the biopsy results. This will determine if the tumor was malignant or benign. I can’t bring myself to even freak out yet because I know what the result will be if we get bad news. I know that some people don’t understand what this does to me but you true dog people do! Please also say a prayer for my Sunny Boy.
I want to be with Solomon and I want to be with my dad. Sometimes I hate that I am so far away from them. More and more these days. It makes me happy that Kim can jump in the car and get there quickly. How I wish I could do the same thing. Not sure now about Brian’s birthday at Lake Texoma this weekend now. We are scared to leave Solomon with the dog sitter overnight. What to do!
