What a nice relaxing Thanksgiving Brian and I had. Although I had a really terrible sinus infection and had to bail out early Weds, the rest of the weekend and weekend we pleasant. Brian ordered us a Cajun fried turkey. I made broccoli cheese casserole ( His favorite) and sweet potatoes with marshmallows. We also had some delightful rolls! We did a movie marathon, napped and just enjoyed being alone and home together. We went shopping all day Friday. Although the crowds we bad we still had a good time. Saturday we went to the gym big time and worked off our turkey! Then it was off to Studio Movie Grill to watch Twlight. Now some of you might kill me for saying this but Edward is just toooooo much for me! He and Bella are too dramatic! Now on the other hand I like the wearwolves. She was stupid for not choosing to go with them….and you know it breaks my heart to go against the vampires. He He. Sunday Funday was tame by our standards but we again had a good time together. Now Brian is gone to California and I am all alone. I will miss him this week.
So am done shopping for the in-laws, my parents and Kim. So there is only Brian to go and that is the easy part. I know what I am going to get him and I will go Thursday to complete my shopping. The weather is cold now and that means I will retire by the fire this evening with kids. They are great snuggle bunnies. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Monday update
Another weekend come and gone. This has been a tough week for our family. A very very dear friend of our family, Larry Seals, passed away from Cancer. He and his wife Karen have probably been the most caring, thoughtful friends my parents have ever had. They have been a support system for our family when we have needed them most. Larry was diagnosed in August ( or towards the end of the summer) and since then has been bravely battling this terrible disease. My dad and mom were able to talk to him the night before he passed….Larry listened but was unable to talk. He went to God with his whole family around him and Karen laying next to him. So please pray for the Seals family and my mom and dad. My dad as especially taken this hard but always is trying to put on the brave face.
I have posted a few pictures from this weekend. We have some friend over to watch Texas Tech play and to watch the UFC fights. Had a great time. Helped Skyler move the couches she bought from us on Sunday. Brian and I ordered a pizza and watched Ice Age 3. Cute! Soli has been sick again. Throwing up and acting sad. He has been sleeping between us…the only blessing is that he isn’t waking us up at the crack of dawn to eat. He is very content snuggled up with us instead.
Have a good week!

The Blog is Back!
Well I know it has been too long since my last blog. Yes, facebook keeps me away and I promise to not let It anymore. Brian and I are doing great. I posted some pictures of Halloween for all to see. We had a terrific time! We went to Susan and Steven’s for a party and also met a customer of Brian’s out and hit a few other places around town to people watch. I am sure you will think we are crazy but we decorated for Christmas this weekend. Jarrod was available and Brian needs help getting the Christmas trees down from the attic as well as putting up the big one in the living room. Skyler also came over to help out. We worked hard but had fun and now we are ready for the holidays. Hey what can I say? I like to maximaize my X-mas decoration time! Jon joined us in the evening for the UFC fights. Yesterday we bought 2 new couches for the living room. We went for comfort this time and let me tell you I have never sat on a better couch. Each couch has a recliner on each end for a total of 4. Now when company comes we will all be so relaxed when watching tv. I am looking forward to Adrian and Lenny coming in 2 weeks. We are going to stay in and catch up. I will whip up something good for dinner and enjoy my time with Adrian. She is so far away now in Minnesota but it will be nice to see her pretty face again! We are staying home for Thanksgiving and hopefully going to the TT vs. Baylor game the day after at the new Cowboy’s Stadium. Should be fun! Brian has been traveling a lot recently but I think he is home at least for a couple of weeks. I love it! Last night we watching two good movies and ate Whataburger. I know I know but we have to live a little sometimes! Hope all is well with you and yours.

Another Weekend, Come and Gone:(
Brian and I are defiantly enjoying the cooler weather. I can now resume my regular dog walking schedule which is lunch time. It is quite in the summer hard to get up, go to the gym, walk the dogs and get the lashes on for work!:) But I don’t have a choice when it is 100 degrees before 10am. Brian and I went to see Paranormal Activity which only aired at the Northpark Downtown AMC this weekend. It showed at midnight . The hype behind it was, that it was so scary some cities had banned it. We were joined by Jarrod and Emily as well as Shonda and Tori. Before the showing we had dinner and drinks at PF Chang’s. The movie was intense, scary and downright disturbing. The scariest ever? My vote is no but it takes a lot to scare ol’ Jenny these days. I had a great evening and I think it was a perfect way to start my favorite month of the year!
Brian took a trip to Denver last week and was able to spend the night with my parents. Brian told me he was stuffed for two days after leaving! My dad grilled steaks, potatoes and asparagus and mom made a pumpkin pie with whipped cream. He loved meeting Gracie a.k.a Tripod and Kasey. He also was able to visit Granny and boy was she surprised. Brian got an opportunity to see my dad’s new chapel and office and was amazed at the beauty of it all. Before he left back for Denver, Brian and Daddy had breakfast at Elkhorn lodge. He truly did wish his trip could have been longer. Thank you Mom and Daddy for all you did. Now if I had told you 20 years ago you would be throwing out the red carpet for BRIAN HOUGH would you have believed me? NO WAY! :)
Several prayer concerns right now. First my best friend Ginger is going through some terrible times with her pregnancy. Although no words can ease her pain, prayers certainly can. Also a very dear family friend Larry Seals has either throat, or lung cancer. The results are still being looked over but the doctor’s know either way that it is advanced and chemotherapy must begin immediately. He is in a coma right now. He and his wife about the nicest, fun, most undeserving people this could happen to. Their faith is strong and so is Larry. Please pray for both these people who are so close to my heart.
XOXO Jenny

Weekend Update
As Amber nicely reminded me, I can’t forget to blog and so I will while I have a few extra minutes. I am thankful that the weather is finally cooling off a little bit. My season is fall, and although we are far from that, I look forward to more time on the back patio and longer walks with the dogs. The weekend came and went too fast. I guess the only bad part of Sat. was when Tech lost by 1! Damnit!! Brian and I watched Observe and Report yesterday. I was not excited but it turned out to be a hilarious movie. We are also stoked that Dexter is back on. Our favorite serial killer! My sister made her famous once a year call from the Great American Beer Fest. It is by far the funniest call she makes to me. I think she was getting a massage and drinking beer at the same time if I recall correctly. She said they had made friends from all over the world that come for this event. Pretty cool. Brian leaves tomorrow for Denver and I will be sad. I am going to have to find a project around the house to keep me busy until he returns. Maybe I didn’t mention this before, but last time he was gone I thought I heard someone by the back door. I was frightened because we have a lock on the gate for one and I have never heard or thought I have heard anything before. So called the police. That was a first for me. They were not thrilled but later I concluded that it had to be the 50 pound raccoon I have seen around the neighborhood. HA HA. Mondays are so hard…hope everyone has a good week!

Update
It has been too long since I blogged. I guess my only reason is that I have recently joined Facebook. It is something that I thought I would never do but I am glad I did. Although I am not dying to be friends with friends of friends, it has been nice to reconnect with some people. For example, my oldest friend in the world DeAun Blair-Emmons and I reconnected. I met her when I was 3 I think. I also can keep in touch with my friend Krista who now lives in London or Jerry, John and Aaron whom I did theater with growing up. Also it’s a cool way to be updated on my friends like Ginger, Robyn and Amber! So I might be a little addictedJ
All is well here with the Hough’s. We have been gearing up for Texas Tech football and Halloween! This year we are going to be boxers and not the animal kindJ I have pink gloves and Brian has red. It will be comfortable and cute. Brian is going to Denver next week and will have the chance to spend the night and have dinner with my parents before heading back to Dallas. He is looking forward to relaxing in the mountains.
Sometimes it’s a little sad when I try to sum up my goings on since the last blog. Not much changes from day to day here in Houghland but I certainly can’t complain! I hope everyone is doing well and Robyn I always look forward to your baby bump pictures!

Weekend Update
I am excited to announce that Soli does not have cancer! We will get the staples out on Thursday!
Brian had a good birthday weekend! Susan, Steven, Jon, Bo, Robyn (and baby), Bryan, Jarrod and Emily joined us. It was interesting to know that the Oklahoma side of Texoma is sand beaches and the Texas side is all rocks. I am not sure why anyone would want to pay more to have rocks! We played games, got out in the sun, cooked out and of course made many hilarious memories. We got back mid day yesterday. Brian and I both slipped in to our pj’s and watched a few movies. I had a great talk with my Grandma and also got to hear about Gracie from mom and dad.
Mondays always are a bummer but the schedule is light at work today. Yipee! I don’t know why but lately I am so homesick for my parents. I wish Brian and I were there in Colorado to be closer to them. My sister called me this morning on her way up to Estes. How nice! As high maintenance as everyone thinks I am, I could really get into the slower pace lifestyle up there. But in the meantime I will be looking forward to September or November when things will cool down here and when my parents will come to visit.

Welcome Gracie!!
Welcome Grace to the Huth family! The breeder that is also become my parents friend is flying her to Colorado today. She will also spend the weekend before returning to Texas. As you might can see from the picture, Grace was born with only 3 legs. From what I have heard, it is not slowing her down a bit! I know Kasey needs a companion and I can’t wait to see them both in action. They will be hunting ground squirrels together before you know it. Congratulations Mom and Dad!

2 out of the 3 Men in My Life are Hurt!!!
What bad news weekend we have had. Also my mom called Sat. night to tell me about my daddy and the accident he had. My mom was in Vail with a friend for the week but my hard headed dad decided he could hang blinds in the garage by himself….even though my mom said to please wait! He fell off the ladder on to the lawn mower. He has both cracked and broken ribs, fluid around his lungs and possible bruised kidneys not to mention the many bumps and scrapes he has. He has been in the hospital since Sat. The thing that makes me so mad is that this happed at 11am. He waited till I think 4pm before telling my mom. He had also spoken with my sister twice after falling. No one needed to be reminded that had he “taken a nap” or worse knocked himself out in the fall, that he could be dead! I told him I would wait till he was off the morphine to really yell at him. I am sick with worry about him. So Please a pray for my Daddy.
We took Soli in for routine blood work last week and Dr. Doolittle called us last Weds. to say that it did not come back good. So we took him over to Dr. Bronstad the specialist. To make a long story short, they found a tennis ball sized tumor in his spleen. Thursday night he had his spleen and the tumor removed. We got him back Friday morning. The poor baby has staples the length of his underside. His is on very strict rest for 3 weeks. The scary part right now is that we are waiting for the biopsy results. This will determine if the tumor was malignant or benign. I can’t bring myself to even freak out yet because I know what the result will be if we get bad news. I know that some people don’t understand what this does to me but you true dog people do! Please also say a prayer for my Sunny Boy.
I want to be with Solomon and I want to be with my dad. Sometimes I hate that I am so far away from them. More and more these days. It makes me happy that Kim can jump in the car and get there quickly. How I wish I could do the same thing. Not sure now about Brian’s birthday at Lake Texoma this weekend now. We are scared to leave Solomon with the dog sitter overnight. What to do!

Rest In Peace Abby-
I am sad to say that my parents lost their dog Abby Friday evening. She had not been feeling well and they had been running all kinds of tests. Friday morning they got the call she had cancer. My parents were both devastated. Within hours of hearing the news, Abby became weaker and weaker. Although the vet had predicted that she had about a year to live, it was not in the cards for little Abby Roo. She crossed the rainbow bridge that night. Their vet and friend Dr. Fish came to our house and put her to sleep. She was surrounded by her whole family. There are no words to describe the heartache I feel for my parents. Now that Kim and I are out of the house, Abby and Kasey are their companions. She was an adorable, loving dog. She and Kasey cracked me up bringing out at least 50 toys at a time…anyone that has been there knows that I am not exaggerating! Ever since my Bayleigh Longlegs died I have believed that dogs are angels. They watch over us. They make us feel better when we are down and with one wag of a tail, they let us know that we are important and loved. Abby only had 5 years here on earth, but I know she is with Apollo, Maggie, Punkin, Max, Marty, Bayleigh, and Eddie giving us memories that will last with us forever.
My Colorado Trip
Well I just returned from a week visit at my parents house. As you can see from the above entry, the visit got off to a rocky start. Although Another snag in the trip came Saturday night. Just after we visited Granny and returned home, the nursing home called us and said she had a 103 temp. My mom and I drove back down there and eventually the transferred her to ER. We stayed pretty late letting them run tests. Turns out she has pneumonia. They admitted her to hospital and had to do blood transfusions. I spent much time there spending time with her. She was released yesterday evening and seems to be doing better. I can’t tell you though how my heart hurts every time I have to say goodbye. I always fear it could be the last time I see my precious Granny. I love her so much and treasure every second I have with her.
My mom and dad were coping with the loss of Abby and Granny’s illness, we did have a good visit. Kim picked me up at the airport and we went right over to 24 Hour Fitness and worked out. Then headed to Estes for a dedication of a new cross for my dad’s building. As you know Friday was a terrible day. Sunday was a great day though. My dad has raised millions of dollars for a new Center/Chapel. The building is absolutely beautiful. The chapel area is so lovely and there are rooms for bible study, conferences and even my dad’s own storage space which he needed badly. I could not be more proud of my daddy. He made it all possible and deserves all the praise that is coming his way. Oh and he has a huge new office! Go Dad! Afterwards Kim and Mike’s restaurant Jackson’s sponsored a BBQ. We had Angus beef hotdogs, brats and pulled brisket with all the fixins. Kim and I served and Mike cooked on the biggest grill I have ever seen. I think we served 140 hotdogs, 100 brats and brisket for 120? Needless to say there were about 250 people there to support my dad and the new building. Except the Granny factor, I was able to spend quality time with mom and dad. We had some terrific dinners at home and out. We built a fire on the deck and visited. I went on a 2 hour walk every day and LOVED being outdoors and experiencing the beauty of Colorado. As you can see from some of the pictures, it is gorgeous! I also saw a badger, a herd a elk and their babies one night, many deer, and all the little critters that run around. Also One morning I followed a herd of elk from house to house watching them grab the Denver Post and rip open the bags and scatter/eat the paper. It was hilarious! I would love to live there someday. As I told Brian, even I forgot the hustle of city life. It was good for the soul to be there. My trip seemed to short.
The only thing that I was missing in that great state was my Bird. He did a great job caring for the kids and spider. The house was picked up and there were even groceries and clean sheets! He has been gone the last two nights at dinners but I am ready to get home tonight and do a whole lot of nuthin’!

Rest In Peace Apollo
Brian’s first dog Apollo went to heaven today. He lived 15 years. After a fun run at Texas Tech eating through walls, fences and attempting many homicides on ducks, squirrels and rabbits he returned to Brian’s family to live out the rest of his life. He was one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He recognized me always as the girl who would play ball with him endlessly. He had quite a loud snore but I loved sneaking him in the bed with us when we came to visit. Brian told me as a child he always wanted a dog. I guess circumstances prevented this from ever happening until he was in high school. He told me when he was little he would think to himself “when I get a dog I will be good to him, he will sleep with me and he will be my best friend”. I know that Apollo fulfilled all the above. Even in the later part of his life when he was gray and slow he was a good companion and friend. Dogs never leave us. They help in the process of showing us kindness, humility, compassion and love. We will all miss Apollokins (as I used to call him) but he will forever be in our hearts. Love you ‘Pollo.
Weekend Update
I hope all you guys are proud of me….um well Brian for downloading some pictures I have had on my camera for a while now! We had a great weekend. Brian and Jarrod stained our fence. Jarrod has this really cool sprayer and it took less than 2 hours to do the inside and out. I did include a couple of funny shots of the boys. Brian called me Little Napoleon all day since I was supervising the spraying of the fence. Saturday night Brock Lesner fought some stupid arrogant dude on UFC. We had a few people over and watched Lesner kick the crap out of the other guy! There are some cute pics of the boys from Sat. night. Brian and I slept in till noon yesterday. We enjoyed waking up late, drinking coffee and watching The Soup. We then headed over to the mall and did a little shopping. Afterwards we both devoured spicy chopped beef sandwiches from Rudy’s. Yummy! We ended the night watching a few movies….sooo back to the real world today. I have a million things to do before leaving for my parents Thursday. Most important on the list is getting Brian stocked up on food so he won’t starve to death. He He.
Monday, July 6, 2009
Well I kinda have an excuse for not blogging in a few weeks. We had a our grand opening and it went very well. I was tired to say the least. I cleaned and cleaned and then had to do again the next day! I am glad to have it behind me and move on with the summer! I did attach a picture of the staff. BTW these are pictures either from my phone of that were emailed to me. I am still working on downloading any from my camera.
My mom phoned me last night and told that my aunt Tricia was robbed while she was at her other house at the beach. The stole literally all of her jewelry except her tennis bracelet and wedding band. She lost many precious things that can’t be replaced. Also they stole all of their guns and farming equipment such as 2 $700 chainsaws and other expensive equipment. They have a cattle ranch so you can imagine all the things that they lost. The funny thing is they are not on the beaten path by any means. So it was most likely someone that has not only been out there but also in their house. They think this because even the cleaning lady didn’t notice the missing items. Everything was in perfect condition inside the house. I feel terrible for them….I am just glad they were not home at the time!
I got blepharoplasty (better known as eyelid surgery) this past Thursday. Although I wanted my uppers done, Dr. Smart said he didn’t think I needed it yet. So we did my lowers. I took a herbal medication called Arnica Montana beforehand. It is supposed to help with bruising and trauma to anywhere on the body. Well I will tell you it really worked. I attached some lovely pictures to show you but I had no bruising at all! The procedure is to remove the bags under your eye and minimize wrinkles. My eyes are irritated today because of the lighting in the office I think but nothing I can’t handle. Hopefully I set the hands of time back a pinch for this ol’ face:)
The weekend was needless to say light in activity for me. He said no gym for at least 2 weeks (yea right). We watched tons of movies (including Transformers….ahhh), ate terribly and had a blast! Thank you my Bird for taking such good care of me…but hey you owed me one for the wisdom teeth :) Hope my week goes quickly as I hate to admit it but I am running at about 75% right now. Brian is gone tonight for a meeting so I will take some Tylenol and rest. Looking forward to seeing my parents on July 16th. I can’t wait for the cooler weather and hikes with my sister….and not the wussy kind either! Get ready Sweets!

My Mom's Surgery
My mom had back surgery yesterday. She had 4 vertebrae fused together. She has had neck pain for so long and the only fix was to fuse them. She was in recovery quite a long time yesterday but is at home doing ok for now. I talked to my dad this morning and she had a rough night but is sleeping for the time being. He said recovery is about 6 weeks with little to no activity. I love you mom and hope you are all better very soon!
For Ginger
I wanted to say congratulations to my best friend in all the world Ginger. She is pregnant with #4! Ginger and I have been friends since middle school. Anyone that knows me now, knows that I am a very upfront, like me or hate me kinda girl. I am opinionated to say the least. I don’t take shit from anyone but if you are my friend, I will do anything for you. I am the most loyal friend you will have. I will KILL for you if that is what it calls for. But what you might not have known, is that I mostly owe who I am today to Ginger. She taught me that no matter what I have to stand up for myself and be true to the people that care about me the most.
Recently I was talking to her and told her that I am really not in anyway the person I used to be. I let people treat me ways that I would never ever put up with now. I guess as I grew up, I took lessons I learned from Ginger…and from Kim HUTH:)……and applied them to my life.
Ginger you have always been my HERO (you know what that really means remember?) and I know that the baby you have on the way will love and appreciate you just like your other children, family and friends do.
I love you!

Sunday Funday
So Amber I am updating my blog just for you!
Yesterday was a relaxing Sunday Funday. Brian convinced me to skip the gym so we had a very late breakfast and coffee and then did house stuff. This included Furminating Hannah, Soli and Athena. I got my exercise just doing that alone! We watched a couple of movies, had dinner and went right to bed. It was nice to be with my Bird and not have a schedule to be on!
I have been running around the last month like a mad woman. The pace of the new office is extremely different. It is busy from open to close. I like it that way because the days go by faster. I love to chat with the patients and there are definitely more of them coming through the doors! We have our official grand opening in 2 weeks and we have been scrambling to get invitations made and sent as well as all the other details that go into an event like this.
Brian’s blood pressure is doing much better although he has spikes here and there. 2 weeks ago he got his wisdom teeth out. I have to say that he really redeemed himself on this surgery! Dr. Scott was wonderful and the recovery was a breeze for him. He had absolutely no swelling either! Now I know those of you who have had their wisdom teeth out know that is pretty much unheard of! We are now working on a torn tendon he has in his hand. He did this working out but is on steroids for this.
Since we have been in a state of recovery most of the last month, we have laid low. We are permanent fixtures at Studio Movie Grill these days. Between you and me I like it also because Bird has to turn off his phone!! We are still truckin it to the gym early morning but we are both considering other forms of exercise these days. I feel like I have plateaued (sp?)out. I for one am looking into yoga. I think that will take some stress off my neck, foot and recently added knee! Brian and I have had a couple of sunny days to catch some rays….with sunscreen mother! I enjoy being out there in the peace and quiet. I like to talk on the phone , water my plants and hang out with the dogs!
We have had the chance to see Robyn and Bryan and her new baby bump! I am so very happy for them. I think they will be awesome parents. Their baby will be truly blessed to have such a neat mommy and daddy.
So I vow to try and write more. XOXOXO

Visit From My Homies
What a great treat I had this weekend! My friends Amber and Ginger came to town for a visit. I have been friends with both of them since Ed White Middle School! They have friends here Darcy and Jenny who went to Ed White before I got there so we planned dinner together Sat. night. I was absolutely wonderful to see them! I forget how sweet, spunky and fun Amber is to be around. She is always upbeat and positive. Ginger was my best friend in high school and now and it is funny that we can pick up right where we left off. As always I enjoy Gingie’s sarcasm, honesty and beautiful smile. BTW ladies you both look AMAZING!
We had sushi together Sat. night and caught up. It was so nice to see them again. I promised Amber I would do better blogging! Good friends are hard to come by and I am very lucky to have them both as friends.
After dinner, we said our goodbyes and I headed home. I feel asleep on the couch not long after. I was pleasantly awakened around 2:30am with Brian and Jon and bearing gifts of Whataburger! We stayed up talking till almost 5am. So needless to say I slept in quite late Sunday!
Ladies the pictures are coming I promise. I asked Brian to do it this morning. :)

Update on Brian
Sorry the update is so late but as Ginger reminded me I must update on medical conditions! Love ya Gin! Attached is a email I sent out last month. Sorry to be short but I have been the busiest I have ever been!
The doctor said that Brian’s MRI and MRA came back normal! This is excellent news! On the flip side his BP is still very very high on average. Dr. Neece suggested getting Dr. Neumann (our primary care who will be taking over at this point) also prescribe a medicine that Brian will take when he feels his BP starting to rise or when he gets a high reading. Also he suggested another medication that will be taken in combination with the one he is already on. He did say that at this time Brian’s BP was “unacceptable” and must be brought down significantly.
SOOO….Brian sees Dr. Neumann again this coming Monday. We will continue to monitor his BP several times a day and so not to worry.
In regards to vertebral artery, it looks like he was just born that way and Dr. Neece said this was nothing to be concerned about. He said that whatever the right artery is lacking, the left side picks up. That is good too!

Say A Prayer for My Bird
Bird would probably not like me telling yall but I thought I would give you an update on a situation some of you might already know about. He has been having a very bad pain in the back of his neck and it has increasingly gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. Last Friday, after having a full day of pain, I asked the nurse I work with what it could be. Her first suggestion was for him to take his blood pressure. So throughout the weekend, we did and it was extremely high. Monday we saw a Neuro surgeon who ordered a MRI and MRA (for aneurysms) due to the fact his bp was 186/115.
To make a long story a little shorter, the technician was so alarmed at his MRI/MRA results yesterday she felt inclined to tell Brian that he should see a doctor right away. He went directly over to our family doctor. According the head of radiology at Centennial, Brian either has a complete occlusion (blockage) or a non exsistant (he could have been born like this) right vertebral artery (Normally there are two leading to the brain). Because his bp has been so high, his heart and one good artery has been working overtime. This has also caused his heart to become enlarged.
So he is on medication for bp and will see the surgeon next Tuesday for a complete overview of the results. We will also visit a vascular surgeon in the near future. Because this can mean so many different things, we are trying not to worry till then. He is under strict orders to rest (RIGHT!), no exercise and limited alcohol. I apologize if I have not been in touch recently like I usually am. I have had a lot on my mind.
I am sorry for the long email but thought you might like to know. Say a prayer for my little Bird.
Love, Jenny

Just wanted to say congratulations to Robyn and Bryan. She is pregnant! She might even be having twins! I will keep you updated!

Back to the Real World
Hi everyone. Lets see if I can get you up to date. Not much has been happening around the Hough house. Recently I made the decision to go back to work full time. Not that I want to. :) The person we hired to help me is not working out like planned and we are in the transition of moving to our own facility that Dr. Smart is building. They were having a hard time finding someone and because everything is hectic right now with the move, I told them I would step up and help out. I did say though that once we were settled and hired another person I wanted my Tuesdays and Thursdays back! We are going to officially move May 1st. It is a beautiful place with much more space, an operating room and even a gym for us! Dr. Smart planned it all nicely.
Brian was in Vegas all last week and he and Jon leave for grand old Belton, Texas today. He is thrilled:) I miss him badly during the week and end up having a lot of conversations with the doggies. Ha! He also went to Austin recently and was able to dip down to New Branunsfels and have dinner with his family...have I already written that? I can't remember.
My parents are doing well and are vacationing in Vail for Mom's spring break. I am jealous!
My friend Robyn and her husband Bryan are in the process of in-vitro and we will know soon if she is having a baby! A very exciting but nerve racking time for them so say a prayer! Jarrod had his 30th birthday Saturday. We have lots of fun and the weather was perfect for the patio!
I have downloaded my camera software to my home computer and I will be working on learning how to email pictures. I hope to add some to my blog and email some out soon!
I guess you are all officially caught up! Hope everyone is well!
PS: I LOVE YOU SWEETS HANG IN THERE!!

Gunnysack
So Jon, Brian and I went to SMG Friday night and watched The Watchmen. Ok, those are hours of my life that I will never get back. I have a note to self to make sure and check the LENGTH of a movie before going! It was 160 mins. As anyone that knows me understands.....I don't do long movies! I slept like a fool in the theater for over an hour! Even more disturbing was the fact that one of the characters John (the big blue one) had his penis out the whole time....WHAT!!! Very weird.
Brian and I are dogsitting for Kristan and Chad till Weds. night. Gunnar came over Sat. afternoon and he is quite the little sausage ball! He is a big white bulldog with brindle spots. He is very sweet and loves to play baby. When he went into the study and saw the tubs of babies we have, he thought he hit the mother load! As you can imagine Athena and Hannah are just thrilled...not... to have him, but Soli likes to play with him. Who could have guessed that Soli would turn out to be the nice one? Kirk, Jon, Brian and I went and watched the UFC fights that night and then had sushi...thanks Jon! Kirk continues to crack me up the whole time I am with him. He is a funny man!
Brian and I had a nice Sunday. We went shopping at Dick's and then worked out together. Then back to the house to play with Mr. Gunnysack and the kids. We watched Australia (Brian was just sooo happy) and it turned out to be a long movie too but it was good. Hard to get up with the time change today but at least our nights will be longer!
I hope everyone has a good week!

Chad's Birthday, Hot Tubs and Cops
What a weekend we had! Chad celebrated his birthday this weekend. We all met for Thai food and then according to Chad's wife , they had to leave because they were going camping Sunday morning. Due to the very cold weather, they decided not to go camping which allowed us all to celebrate well into the night. After hitting a few bars we went to our house. Needless to say we had so much fun! We got into the hot tub, Jarrod had to carry his new girlfriend out, I made my famous hogie sandwhiches late night and at one point everyone there had on a pair of my sunglasses. Ha ha. All was cool till about 4am. I won't disclose the whole story but let's just say we ended up defending Jon' honor, with a trip to McKinney, dealing with some officers of the law, his wife as well as a neighbor who got to big for her britches. Don't think she will have such bravery next time. So a little after 7 we run by Taco Cabana...EGGS MEXICANA....fed the dogs breakfast and went to bed. Still recovering today. LOL. To my friends that were not there...you really missed it this time. Robyn Melinda would have been DEAD if you were there.
I woke up this morning to our 2 year old fridge not working. Great!
XOXOXO Jenny

Luckiest Girl in The World
I thought to myself this morning...I am the luckiest girl in the world. I woke up next to Brian (and Athena) and thanked God for all the blessings I have in my life. Every day I think I love my Bird more. He is constantly surprising me with his humor and how witty he is. He cracks me up. I admire how hard he works and he is easy on the eyes too:) My dogs are healthy, my parents, sister, Mike, Granny, Grandma and in-laws are all happy and doing well. I have a roof over my head and a perfect job and I have friends I know I can count on. Does not get better than that. Every night I pray for my family and extended family. I am so very thankful.
On a very much lighter note....Brian and I had a excellent Valentine's Weekend. We had an enjoyable evening at home Friday, catching up on all our favorite shows that we tape. We did our usual coffee and breakfast and then hit the gym and walked the dogs. We opened gifts and went to Studio Movie Grill for dinner and to watch the new Friday the 13th movie. It was sooo good. We went shopping yesterday because Janna's birthday is next weekend and the hit the gym again. Brian helped with dinner and we watched 24.
Ginger, my best friend from high school, got engaged Sat. night. I am happy for her and look forward to a wedding celebration. I guess I might finally have to go back to San Antonio for a visit. Also Amber had a birthday the 12th. Happy Birthday girl!
Getting a crown on my tooth tomorrow.BOOOO. I hate spending money on that kind of thing but it has to be done. Gotta go car shopping in the near future. Time for a new car. Any suggestions anyone? Brian said no to the pink Hummer....jerk:)
Love to all.

Go Team!....whoever was playing....
The weekend flew by as usual. Friday night I got a massage, cooked dinner and watched a movie with Bird. Saturday Skyler and I enjoyed the nice weather at Gloria's on the patio. In the evening Brian and I bought some new things for the house and hung them and Brian fixed a lamp WOW!
Superbowl Sunday was fun! Everyone arrived around 5. Everyone brought wonderful dishes and there were not many left overs. It was good to catch up with my friends and entertain. Who played again? :)
Last week we had an ice storm Tuesday night into Wednesday. Work called and told me they were not opening Weds so I had 3 days off last week! Brian was gone some so I played my new Wii, ran errands and completed my to do list. I attempted to take the trash out Weds afternoon and literally slid from the garage to the brick wall in our alley. I didn't fall but felt really silly!
My friend Robyn is in the process of doing in-vitro fertilization. Her first visit was today and they will officially start in March. Please keep Robyn and her husband Bryan in your prayers. I just can't wait for little Jennifer Karen to be born....love ya R! LOL:)
Looking forward to watching all my shows tonight especially 24 and The Bachelor.

Gosh I am old
Hi everyone,
I am glad today is Friday! I am finally feeling better after a bout with a cold. I was super sick on my birthday which SUCKED! Per my request, Brian and I celebrated at home with the kids. We went and got pedicures and drank wine. All you men, don't knock it until you have had a pedi at Hollywood Nails & Spa! I was then surprised by TWO wonderful cakes from Brian! Among all the awesome gifts I got I finally got a Wii and Wii Fit! I am looking forward to seeing how many calories I can burn:) I also got a beautiful ring and necklace, lots of goodies from my family and the prettiest roses from my Sweets (Kim). We ordered a pizza and chowed down and then it was lights out for me. Brian did a hella job making my birthday special.
Going to see Gran Torino tomorrow with 10 friends. We will meet up early and have drinks and then dinner with the movie. Other than that our weekend will be low key and relaxing. I plan on beating Brian at Wii Hula Hoop and Mario Cart....whoo hoo..ever seen a small blonde girl drunk on wine trying to do a balance game on Wii Fit? You should...quite entertaining.

Hello to 2009
I hope everyone had a warm, cheerful Christmas and New Years. Brian and I slept in late, drank coffee, and I made breakfast. I like to draw Christmas out all day. So we watched a movie, drank wine, opened gifts and I made dinner. I had 2 weeks off and it was nice to get away and chill with Brian. We went to Jon and Melinda's New Years Eve and watched UFC (How festive!) and ate sushi. We were in bed before the ball dropped this year.
Brian was disappointed to see his red raiders loose at the Cotton Bowl. He went to the game and cheered his best. He and Jon met back up at our house afterwards. I made chicken parm for them and Skyler whom had been watching the game with me at home. We had fun and then watched TROPIC THUNDER. Hilarius. My new favorite funny movie!
Brandi is coming to visit Friday and I will be making another famous meal for us. I am just wanting to stay in lately! I told Brian no plans for my birthday this year. We are ordering a large pizza (Yes I am going to eat it) and watch Goodfellas. He is thrilled. I mean I don't need to really go all out till my 30th birthday right?
