Looking Forward To The Long Weekend

Well Saturday was a sad day for the Raiders. But they are still in a 3 way tie which is better than nothing. I hope OSU kicks the shit out of Oklahoma and that arrogant quarterback....figures he is from Churchill. Go Batch, Harrell, The Elf and Crabtree!!!

Brian and I got the new carpet upstairs we wanted. Although not much of the house , well upstairs is carpet, it took all day to finish. It makes me nervous having my furniture, dogs and life rearranged. I know some of you that know me well are just chuckling right now.....as Granny would say " I was in a real snit!" Our new furniture is being delivered tomorrow as well. I am excited!

Brian and I will be having Thanksgiving alone this year. Not complaining really. We don't have to get dressed or really do a damn thing all day. Ok ok correction. I will be cooking but that is fun to me. We will still have Brian's casserole dish, whipped sweet potatoes, dressing, a Cajun fried turkey, cranberry sauce and my pumpkin cheesecake. Brian has a lot to eat huh guys?

Jennifer and Andy are having a party sometime this weekend. I also want to gather my friends to go to Studio Movie Grill to see Twilight. You know I LOVE vampire movies!!!!

Hope everyone has wonderful turkey day!

Love, Jen

Home Improvement

As always we enjoyed a nice weekend with family. Brian and I also got a wild hair and decided it was time to re-do our guest bedrooms. We bought new furniture, mattresses and beds as well as new bed ensembles for them. We also will have some painting done soon. I have a carpet person coming today for an estimate for carpet upstairs. It really needed to be done anyhow and I am glad my parents will now be a lot more comfortable while visiting in December. We want to sell in a year so why not enjoy the upgrades while still in the house? I am thankful at this point that there is no carpet downstairs since Solomon is still on prednisone and is having a few pee pee accidents. Poor thing! We also are getting a new roof today. I just hate all that banging! Again it had to be done so I guess I can tough it out for one more day.

Today is my mom and Brian's sister Shelby's birthdays. Happy birthday girls! My parents just got back from a week at a bed and breakfast in Florida. The real reason they went though is that they received invitations to watch the space shuttle launch. They said everyone should do it once before they die. My dad was in heaven as you can imagine.

I have a botox party tonight. Ugh. At least I can get a little stuff done :) Looking forward to the weekend. Since Brian and I have our Christmas stuff up we have been in a very "lets drink wine, turn on the tree and watch movies" mode. We plan on doing this again this weekend...well of coarse we will be watching Texas Tech with our fingers crossed! GO TECH!!!

Cancun, Halloween and Weddings in the works!

Hello!
First I have to say congratulations to Steven and Susan who we engaged this past Friday! Also congrats to Chad and Kristan who are getting married this week!

I know it has been a while since I have written. We had a wonderful vacation. Although there were some unexpected things that happened, we had a blast! It was great to relax by the beach, eat Mexican food and dance the night away! We made life long memories. We are already planning our trip next year!

Before Halloween we were able to take a trip to Terrell, Texas to visit Thrillvania. I LOVE haunted houses so it was fun! We met up with Jennifer, Andy, Steven, Susan and Mike and had a chimichanga at Mi Cocina as well. Halloween was fun! Our friend Jason threw a party at the old Dallas Courthouse. It was followed my an afterparty at the Sheraton with Roger (DJ Haze) as our DJ.

This weekend we celebrated Kristen Payne's birthday. We met downtown at Joyce. There were tons of friends there and the music was good....Brandi came into town and we got to do a little shopping before getting ready. It was very nice to see her and catch up.

Brian and I got a wild hair Sunday afternoon and got out the X-mas decorations. Hey we don't care! We like to maximize our Christmas light time! :) We spent half the day looking for a tree...yes another tree. We had to buy a VERY tall ladder for this new tree and Brian and I finally finished decorating at 10 last night. I will put a pic on soon. He went up to the game room and was able to sit the topper right on top of the tree! LOL. Despite that our floor looks like a glittery yellow brick road, I am pleased. Thanks #3 for your help! (Jon)

Looking forward to the weekend. Still have to get the other tree in the formal done but compared to the other it will be a piece of cake :) Having friends over for the UFC fight and will possibly work on improving one of our guest bedrooms....if I can just talk Brian into having a few walls painted:)

GO TEXAS TECH RED RADIERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope all is well with you and yours.....Jenny
